GlassGuard BlackBand® shatterproof fluorescent lamps are coated with a new unique fluoro polymer meeting BS EN61549 Fragment Retention Lamp Standard providing guaranteed performance. Glassguard BlackBand® coated fluorescent lamps will operate in both open and enclosed IP65 fittings where lamp temperatures can exceed 135°C. The new GlassGuard Black Band® fluoro polymer coating will operate up to 200°C continuous service and will outperform standard and long life lamps. GlassGuard® coated fluorescent lamps pass all resistance to heat & fire regulations and do not support combustion when exposed to naked flame or excessive heat.
